About this client/child:
Roshan is soon to be 6 years old and lives at home in Sevenoaks with his Mummy, Daddy and younger brother aged 2. Roshan is an active, social, and engaging chap with oodles of energy and a love for music, singing and waterplay. Roshan has cerebral palsy and is dependent on others to meet all his care needs. He is mobile through crawling and uses a wheelchair and walker to aid his mobility. He is pre-verbal and uses pictures and sounds to support his communication. This is a busy, active family home.

Overview of role:
We are recruiting for two Waking Night Carers to join Rosham team on a full-time, permanent basis. As Roshan Waking Night Carer you will assist with the bedtime routine and settle Roshan into his safe sleep system bed and ensure he is comfortable. You will follow a routine and strategies outlined by Roshan’s care plan and sleep specialist. The Waking Night Carer will tend to all Roshan’s needs throughout the night and monitor him from his therapy room, located next to his bedroom. Accurate record-keeping and documenting all tasks undertaken to provide care and support to Roshan is essential, therefore, you must be computer literate and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Shift time: 7.00pm – 7.00am, this role will involve working weekdays and weekends, rota provided 4 weeks in advance. Rates: £15.00 weekdays | £17.00 weekends | Gross per Hour

Who this job would suit:
A calm, empathetic and reliable waking night carer with previous experience working within a family setting. A confident driver (automatic) is essential, and we are ideally looking for a Waking Night Carer local to Sevenoaks. The family are moving home in the coming months (next year) however will continue to live in Sevenoaks.
