About this client/child:
Roshan is 6 years old and lives at home in Sevenoaks with his Mummy, Daddy and younger brother aged 2. Roshan is an active, social, and engaging chap with oodles of energy and a love for music, singing and waterplay. Roshan has cerebral palsy and is dependent on others to meet all his care needs. He is mobile through crawling and uses a wheelchair and walker to aid his mobility. He is pre-verbal and uses pictures and sounds to support his communication. This is a busy, active family home.

Overview of role:
We are recruiting for two experienced Support Workers on a part-time, permanent basis to join Roshan care team. Roshan requires support to complete all his daily tasks, to access the world around him and participate in all activities. As Roshan’s Support Worker you will facilitate, enable, and motivate him, implement his therapies and provide the highest level of care and support. It is essential that you are an excellent communicator and computer literate as you will be required to document and record information related to Roshan care. The hours are term-time you will work mornings and evenings: Shifts are: 7.00am to 9.30am, and 2.45pm to 7.00pm. Weekends and School Holidays: 12 hours shift each. Rates of pay: £15.00 weekdays, £17.00 weekends, Gross per Hour. There is always additional hours and we would ideally like the successful Support Workers to work some waking nights if cover is required. The waking Night shift is 12 hours. 

Who this job would suit:
A caring, bubbly, and proactive Support Worker with previous experience working within a family setting. A confident driver is essential, Roshan’s vehicle is an automatic adapted so you must be confident driving this type of vehicle. The family will be moving home in the coming months (next year) however will continue to live in Sevenoaks.

You will receive excellent training in all aspects of Roshan care plan and therapy programme. Excellent support provided by the Team Leader and Case Manager.
