About this client/child:
Dominic, aged 8, has a great sense of humour and enjoys the odd ‘prank’. He loves video games, animals and metal detecting. Dominic has ADHD and his behaviour at times can challenge. The family will also be supported by a highly experience intervention consultant, well-known to Snap.

Overview of role:
As Dominic’s SEN Support Worker, you will actively support him in the home setting and be responsible for organising and taking him out to various activities. You will also guide him through tailored interventions and continuously promote his educational, social and emotional health. During the mornings (8.00 am to 1.00 pm) Dominic will be home schooled, so before the start of your shift it is important that a handover is carried out.

Who this job would suit:
This job will suit someone who has plenty of energy, confident, a good sense of humour and a playful nature, whilst understanding the importance of maintaining appropriate boundaries. You must be emotionally resilient, able to manage behaviours that can challenge and prepared to make a long-term commitment to the family (at least 1 – 2 years).

What’s great about this job:
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on Dominic and in turn the wider needs of his family.  As well as promoting his independence and encouraging his development you will also be unlocking Dominic’s full potential.
