£14.00 gross per hour! Urgent! Temporary Support Worker required for Noah, 13 who has cerebral palsy

Wage: £14.00 gross per hours weekends, Sleeping night £98.52 per shift
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? On duty
Essential: Experience supporting clients with physical disabilities
Desired: Experience with hydrotherapy and implementing therapies into daily routine
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Temporary shifts until January Monday - Friday 10.00 am - 3.30 pm, Permanent shifts: Every Saturday 1.00pm - 6.30pm and once per month additional night shift 7.30pm – 7.30am, Maternity cover from January 2020 Monday 3.30pm – 7.30pm, Sleeping night Monday and Thursday 7.30pm – 7.30am, Friday 7.30am – 9.00am

Noah 13, is a charming and bright chap. He has a great sense of humour and is an absolute pleasure to work with. Noah has severe dystonia, quadriplegic cerebral palsy, asthma and epilepsy, he requires assistance in all aspects of his daily routine. He uses AAC, PECs and pictures books for communication and a few verbal words including ‘yes ‘ and ‘no’. Noah is able to communicate his needs, and he will certainly keep you on your toes!

Your role will involve assisting with the weekend routine. You will provide personal care, administer medication, assist with feeding and ensure he is comfortable. In the afternoon, Noah likes to relax at home, he enjoys playing games on his iPad, swimming in his hydro pool, playing in the garden and choosing things when shopping.

The ideal candidate will have strong communications skills, enjoy working as part of a team, and have a caring and positive manner. You must be confident in manual handling, providing personal care and administer medication. You will create interesting and educational activities to ensure Noah is continuously learning and most importantly, having fun!
