Joshua, 18, is a fantastic, communicative, loving and adventurous young man. He has complex physical needs; cerebral palsy, epilepsy, is registered blind and if fed and medicated via JPEG. Joshua is non-verbal but communicates using a communication book and a VOCA and can make his needs known.

We are looking for a pro-active and experienced Support Worker to spend two weeks with Joshua, working alongside another support worker for the majority of the time. You will need to be fit and strong as the role is physically demanding; Joshua is lifted with hoists, uses a wheelchair, needs to be rolled / turned to be dressed etc. You will assist with his personal care, medication, feeding, physiotherapy and keeping areas he uses clean and tidy.

This temporary role will suit a positive Support Worker with excellent experience of physical disability who is confident to hit the ground running and really get stuck in. You will help to plan and organise activities and trips for Joshua, who will need your assistance for all of his activities, so you’ll need to be creative and patient.

Excellent opportunity to spend two weeks with a lovely family well known to Snap, providing the best care to ensure Joshua is safe, healthy and of course happy! If you are available for the above dates, please send your CV and apply today!

Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
