Days & Hours: Monday to Friday 08.00 am to 6.00 pm

About this client/child:
Jimmy 5, is a charming and friendly boy who loves reading books, particularly by Julia Donaldson, singing and messy play. Jimmyhas dystonic cerebral palsy GMFCS 5. He is non-verbal and at present has no established form of communication although he does do some eye pointing to indicate choices. Jimmy is unable to walk, sit or stand unaided. At home he has special seating and a standing frame that he uses daily. He also has a sleep system and a lycra suit that he wears to help with his posture.
Overview of role:
The role will involve building a caring relationship with Jimmy, building a programme of activities and learning opportunities in the community, assisting with personal care, feeding, light housework/nursery duties and cooking, as needed. And of course, having lots of fun! Jimmy eats orally and all his foods are pureed, and his fluids are thickened. When Jimmy goes out, he uses a wheelchair and has a Vauxhall Vivaro WAV that has a manual gearbox.
