£1080.00 gross per week. Temporary Housekeeper/ Cook/PA with understanding of Autism and challenging behaviour for Oliver, 16

Essential: Excellent housekeeping and cooking skills,supporting a young person with autism, managing challenging behavior, good communication skills
Start Date:All of August; 1stto 30th, with a possibility to become a permanent position
Days & Hours:Monday to Saturday, 7.00am – 7.00pm

Oliver is a charming and energetic 16-year-old. He enjoys football, tennis, playing piano and keeping active. Oliver is autistic and has communication difficulties. He has limited verbal communication, and while he can express his needs, likes and dislikes, he needs encouragement to use his language more effectively.  Although Oliver is normally happy and affectionate, when frustrated he can present with challenging behaviour; he can pinch or pull hair. You’ll need to have experience with recognising triggers, deescalating and managing challenging behaviour. 

Our client is seeking a *female Housekeeper, cook, PA to ensure the smooth running of the household, prepare Oliver’s food (he has a very complex dietary requirements) and assist him when is at home. You will be working alongside Oliver’s mum and his therapists, so you’ll need to be a good team player and be able to follow instructions. 

You will need an extensive experience of housekeeping and cooking and have a good understanding of autism and communication difficulties. This exciting position will suit a confident, energetic and organised candidate who will support Oliver to reach his full potential.
