Days & Hours:3 – 9 months, shifts available Monday – Friday 7.00 am – 8.30 pm a week to include a Saturday or Sunday.

Mia, 9 is a fun, lively and active girl, who enjoys swimming, riding on her bike and playing on her iPad. Mia lives with her parents, her twin brother and younger brother (4). Mia has an acquired brain injury, sensory processing disorder and can present with challenging behaviour. Mia is currently not attending any school and follows a home programme.
Your role will be to support Mia with her home school plan for a period until a suitable placement is found for her. You will focus on functional and life skills, behavioural management, encourage academic learning, assist with personal care, encourage positive interaction between the siblings, and of course, have lots of fun.
This is a busy family home, you will need to be a team player who has the ability to work alongside mum, the current support worker and case manager as well as taking sole charge when required. Although your role will be primarily to support Mia, we are seeking someone who can hit the ground running and pitch in as and when needed, whether it is helping with meal preparation or playing with the boys.
This position will suit an energetic, hands-on and sensitive candidate who has a good understanding and experience of special educational needs and is comfortable working in a family environment.
