Up to £13.00 gross per hour. Engaging and proactive Temporary Part Time *Female Buddy/ Support worker for Lily, 13 who has cerebral palsy.

Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours:  10 – 20 hours for 3 weeks during the summer holiday, flexible hours and start date for the right candidate. 

Lily, 13 is a charming and engaging young lady. She has mild-to-moderate Diplegic Cerebral Palsy, and as a result, she has some physical and additional learning and educational needs. Lily is mobile however, fatigues quickly and gets painful legs when walking longer distances outdoors. She lives at home with her supportive family.

We are looking for a friendly and motivated Female Buddy / Support worker to assist her with building her independence and confidence. You will accompany Lily on a variety of activities, this may include visits to the swimming pool, cinema and supporting her to access her local community. The role has scope to develop into a permanent position.

You must be able to take direction and guidance from the team as well as be comfortable to work with Lily on your own and provide feedback from the sessions to help monitor Lily’s progress. This role will also involve implementing therapies in Lily’s daily routine.

This position is suitable for a kind, caring and enthusiastic Buddy/ Support worker with a passion for supporting children with additional needs and promoting independence. Training will be provided.
