£18,720.00 + gross per annum. Energetic Part time Teaching Assistant/ PA for Robert 16, who is autistic and has epilepsy.

Start Date:ASAP
Days & Hours: 30 hours contracted per week, opportunity to work overtime.  Rota is based on 3 weeks incorporating midweek shifts and weekend shifts. Within each three weeks there will be a full working weekend, a one day weekend and a full weekend off. Shifts are split into following times: 8.00am- 2.30pmand 2.00pm and 7.30pm

Robert, 16, is a happy and affectionate young man. He loves running in open spaces, swimming, horse riding and other physical activities. Robert is autistic, has processing sensory disorder and suffers from epilepsy. Roberts is non-verbal and communicates with gestures and cards. He requires assistance with all aspects of personal care, daily activities and social skills. 

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant who will support Robert with his home education program, assist him to access as much learning as possible and achieve, where possible, appropriate age related targets. The candidate will use their initiative to develop, adapt and implement a specific learning programme for Robert’s learning needs and implement techniques from his therapists and family. You will be creative and have the ability to think outside the box when it comes to teaching. You will need to be fit, strong and vigilant to ensure Robert’s safety at all times, especially when outside.

This job will suit an energetic, caring and passionate candidate who enjoys working within a family home and providing 1:1 support. A truly rewarding position and opportunity to work with this fantastic you man and his dedicated team. Great training opportunity.
