About this client/child:
Jack (12) is an active young boy who enjoys playing with his dog, music, and games on his iPad. Jack has been home educated for the last 6 years, he enjoys fun and active learning and has made good progress.  Jack has speech production and expressive language difficulties, ADHD, colitis and food allergies. 

Overview of role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher/HLT/therapy assistant, who will follow the program which has been created by a senior advisory teacher with whom you will work closely. Your role will be tosupport Jack in accessing as much of the national curriculum as possible and achieve, where possible, appropriate, age-related targets in key areas such as numeracy and literacy and school related skills. You will be proactive and innovative in your approach and use your own initiative to support Jack in accessing group activities.You will follow a specific learning programme for Jack ’s learning needs and implement techniques from his therapists, including speech and language and occupational therapy.  As Jack finds it easier to learn using a multi-sensory approach you will be creative and have the ability to 'think outside the box' when it comes to teaching.

You will be enthusiastic, organized and genuinely enjoy teaching and supporting young students.
