Our client Max 21, is recruiting for an experienced Team Leader to manage and support his care team who provide 24/7 care. Max is a charming, charismatic, fun and very intelligent young man who has an acquired brain injury. The brain injury has affected Max’s memory, mental planning skills and ability to weigh up risk. He is independently mobile and loves to participate in enjoyable physical activities such as dry slope skiing and climbing. Max has dyspraxia and ataxia which means he does require some support to take part in the sports that he loves.

Max has recently relocated and is living independently with the assistance of his support team. He has also started a new course attending university (2 days per week) and is working towards gaining a degree in music editing. Max works hard on his rehabilitation programme, he is determined and keen to continue achieving his goal, which is to be as independent as possible in day to day life. He works well with his therapists and they provide ongoing support and input for Max and his care team.

In this role you will provide support for Max, continually promoting his independence whilst ensuring potential risks are safely managed. Max requires prompts and some assistance to manage day to day life, household tasks, study, attending social events and very importantly his diet and overall well-being. Max needs to eat healthy, nutritious meals so awareness of good nutrition and an enjoyment of cooking is essential as you and Max will be planning and preparing meals together each day. You must be an experienced team leader who is highly organized with the ability to be flexible and adaptable. You will be responsible for the general team leading duties and managing the support team under the direction of the case manager. We are looking for a person who can come in and hit the ground running.

Hours based on a two week rolling rota with additional team leader admin time of 5hrs per week. You will be responsible for ensuring there is adequate cover across the whole rota at all times.

Week 1: Monday 9:00am – 9:00pm | Tuesday 9:00am – 3:45pm | Saturday 9:00am – 9:00pm | Sunday 9:00am – 9:00pm
Week 2: Wednesday 7:00am – 7:00pm | Thursday 7:00am – 3:45pm | Friday 7:00am – 7:00pm
