Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Monday to Friday 3.30pm to 8.30pm

About this client/child:
Luca aged 10 is a bright, happy and sociable boy who enjoys Taekwondo, reading and cooking. He has very high language skills and is able to speak 3 different languages! His 9-year-old sister Megan enjoys gymnastics and playing the piano. She is very organised, independent and enjoys being with people. Both children are described as having very sunny personalities and love to chat and be engaged. Luca does not have a full autism or ADHD diagnosis, but he does present with some similar traits which include hypersensitivity to noise, low attention span and impulsivity, so the family are keen to find a Nanny with some specialist experience.

Overview of role:
The SEN Nanny will be responsible for both Luca and Megan’s after school routines throughout the year. This will include collecting both children from school, preparing healthy snacks and dinner, engaging the children in play and activities, supporting with homework and taking them to and from their after-school activities. There will also be additional Nanny duties which will include but not limited to keeping the children’s bedroom tidy and ensuring the children have a clean school uniform for the following day. The family are really looking for someone who can spend quality time with Luca and Megan and help promote their overall development. The core hours are Monday to Friday 3.30pm to 8.30pm, but occasional flexibility may be required. Occasional babysitting on a Saturday would be appreciated. During the school holidays additional hours may be required, this will be by mutual agreement.

Who this job would suit:
We are looking for an SEN Nanny who can build a caring relationship with both children whilst establishing clear boundaries. The role will suit an SEN Nanny who has solid experience with autism or ADHD, is confident working with more than one child and has experience with a similar age range. The ideal person will be well educated, level-headed, friendly, gentle and organised. A driver with their own car would be preferable but is not essential. Please note, the family will only consider applicants who have been fully vaccinated.

What’s great about this job:
This is fantastic part time permanent role which is offering competitive rates of pay and is available straight away. You will also have the opportunity to work with a very friendly family whilst supporting both Luca and Megan’s development and continuing to promote their independence.
