Location: Redhill, Surrey, RH1
Nearest Tube/Station: Redhill
Wage: £13.00 Gross per Hour | £25,000.00 Gross per Annum
Driver required? Preferable
Use of a car? Yes on duty, manual drive
Essential: Experience supporting a young adult client with additional needs.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 37 contracted hours per week, will include weekend work.
Family/Client Pets: Yes, a family dog, guinea pigs and six ducks.

About this client/child:
Our client Simon is 25 years old and requires 2:1 support. He has severe epilepsy and as a result, has absences every few minutes during the day and has convulsive seizures at night. Experience supporting a client with epilepsy is desirable, however, full training is provided, and you will have the opportunity to work alongside long-standing team members who can guide you in how to care for Simon. The need for emergency medication is rare however training will be provided to administer if required according to protocol.

Overview of role:
Simon is very active and generally spends sometime every day outdoors (walking or triking). When Covid-19 permits, he also enjoys swimming, going to his day centre, shopping, visiting National Trust gardens/wildlife parks etc. At home he enjoys drawing/painting, making lego models, Geomag, listening to audiobooks/stories being read, playing on the PS, watching films and helping with cooking.
In this role, you will support Simon with all aspects of daily life, including personal care, administering medication, domestic tasks and accessing the community.
