Tim, 17, is an energetic and engaging young man with great sense of humour who enjoys outdoor activities and sport (especially skiing and cycling), eating out and going to cinema. Tim has cerebral palsy; he can walk independently but is unbalanced and finds it difficult to walk on uneven ground. Tim is studying IT and hoping to begin an apprenticeship in the summer.
You role will be to organise and accompany Tim to fun activities and trips out, as well as support him with his daily routine and studies. You should be proactive and dynamic in your approach to working with Tim and really engage with him when you are together. Tim will require your assistance twice a week after school and at the weekend on either Saturday or Sunday.
This fantastic and rewarding position will suit an active, energetic and fun support worker who will build a trusting relationship with Tim and help him to promote his independence.
