Title: Support Worker

Wage: £15.00 gross per hour weekdays | £16.00 gross per hour weekends / sleep in nights are paid at £82.50 for a weekday night and £88.00 for a weekend night.
Driver required? Preferable but not essential
Essential: Experience working with children and supporting a client with complex needs.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: on a rota basis covering the following shifts between two people, Sleep-in Nights: Sunday to Thursday 10:00pm – 7:00am. Four weekday afternoons from 2.15pm – 6.15pm and 4 hour daytime shifts on a Saturday and Sunday.

Our client Simon, is a 4 year old boy with complex physical needs. Simon has cerebral palsy, epilepsy (well controlled through medication), reflux and is enterally fed. Despite his complex needs, Simon is a bright and engaging child with a playful character and an infectious smile. He has a full care team in place providing support and we are looking for an additional team member to assist in 2:1 support for sections of the day and night.
In this position you will support Simon with all his personal care needs and implement his therapy programs. During the sleeping nights you will be on hand if the waking night carer needs additional support. Simon requires assistance to access the world around him and you will facilitate him to do so. You’ll continue to promote Simon’s overall development and well-being and supporting him to reach his full potential.
For this role you must have childcare experience and be confident supporting a client with complex needs.
