Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Term time: 24 hours per week | School holidays: 36 hours per week on average | Alternate Saturdays: 4 hours per day

About this child:
Our client Noah is 10 years old, he loves swimming, watching street performers, arts and crafts and spending time with his family. Noah has a hypoxic brain injury, epilepsy, and complex learning and communication difficulties. Noah is very active, he is mobile and able to communicate his needs and wishes. Noah requires assistance with all daily tasks, therapy input, and self-regulation.

Overview of role:
In this role, you will provide 1:1 support to Noah, create and plan fun and educational activities he can enjoy in his family home and out and about in the community (covid permitted). He has lots of energy and loves to play. You will implement his therapies such as SALT and work alongside his multi-disciplinary team to ensure he is reaching his targets and developmental goals. Noah can become overwhelmed and frustrated when he is not understood or is finding it difficult to communicate, you will work with Noah to help him regulate and manage his behaviours. Weekday shifts start at 2.30 pm - 7.00pm and we require support every day except Wednesday and Sunday. 

Who this job would suit:
A sensitive and understanding support worker with previous experience supporting a young client with an ABI, behavioural needs and traits of Autism Spectrum Condition. A confident swimmer and driver are essential for this role.  Please get in touch with your availability.
