Ben is a delightful 13 year old who has a great sense of humour and plenty of energy! He loves swimming and trampolining and computer games. Ben is autistic and attends a specialist school. Ben can seem quite young for his age and needs guidance in some areas. He responds well to routine and praise.

We are seeking a sensitive, enthusiastic support worker who will assist Ben at home / out in the community to help him reach his full potential through stimulating play, activities and therapy. Ben is a very endearing lad who can be great fun to be with. The role will predominantly be with Ben, but on occasions his elder sibling may wish to join in activities. Ben has the support of various therapists and there will be the opportunity to implement these therapies to help Ben’s progress.

Ideally you will have worked with a child of this age or a little younger who has similar behavioural and sensory needs. We are looking for candidates with a sense of fun, a mature attitude and someone who can be sensitive to the needs of the whole family.

This package offers part-time flexible contracts for candidates looking for additional hours during the afternoons, weekends and school holidays.

Interviews for this fantastic position are being held ASAP, so if you are interested please apply today!
