£13.00 - £15.00 Gross per Hour. Proactive, caring and experience Support Workers / Care Team 
required for 9 year old with cerebral palsy in the Shenley, Hertfordshire. 24/7 care package with
full and part time positions available, training provided.

Wage / Salary: Starting at £13.00 gross per hour weekdays | Starting at £15.00 gross per hour weekends £80.00 - £90.00 gross per night for sleep in shifts
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? On duty, adapted vehicle – manual drive
Essential: Experience supporting a client with a physical disability and working with children

A fantastic opportunity is now available for experienced support workers / carer to join a busy home care team and provide 2:1 support to Michael, a 9 year old with cerebral palsy, learning difficulties and epilepsy. Michael attends a special needs school and lives at home with his Mummy and young brother who has ASD.

In this role you’ll support Michael with his personal care routine, manual handling, lifting and hoisting and encourage, motivate and facilitate him to participate in activities. Michael has lots of therapy input to promote his communication and independence so you’ll learn new programmes and implement these daily. Michael enjoys swimming, musical toys, getting out and about, exploring his environment and going for walks so we are looking for a team members who share similar interests. Although your role is essentially supporting Michael, his younger brother may require some assistance from time to time.  

This position will suit a confident communicator; someone who is reliable, trustworthy and respectful. Ideally you’ll have availability to cover a variety of shifts however for the right person we can be flexible. We are offering full time and part time contracts, so please get in touch with your availability.

The shifts we have available:
Term time: Monday to Friday 7:00am – 10:00am and 3:30pm – 8:00pm
School Holidays: Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 8:00pm
Weekends: 8:00am – 8:00pm
Waking and sleeping nights: 9:00pm – 6:00am
