About this client/child:
Ryan is 6 years old and has a winning smile and an infectious laugh. Ryan sustained a brain injury at birth, and as a result, he has four limb dystonic cerebral palsy, a visual impairment, microcephaly, severe learning disabilities, and gastric reflux. Ryan has complex care needs, he receives all medication, liquids, and nutrition via his gastrostomy PEG, he is non-verbal however communicates using sounds and facial expressions and he is a wheelchair user.
Overview of the role:
Ryan lives at home with his parents and younger sister and he attends a specialist school, he has a full care team in place. He requires additional members to join the team on a bank contract basis. Ryan is totally dependent on others to meet all his care needs. You’ll provide 1:1 support to Ryan, follow his care plan, therapy programmes and facilitate him to access and explore the world around him whilst continually promoting his independence.
*Shifts available (all shifts include on-call nights)
Monday to Friday 4.30pm – 9.30am (on-call night 9.30pm – 9.30am).
Saturday and Sunday 12 hour shift: 9.30am – 9.30pm | (on-call night) 9.30pm – 9.30am.
