Mary is an engaging woman who enjoys socialising, her piano lessons, singing in a choir and meals out. Mary has an Acquired Brain Injury following encephalitis in 2008 and as a result has significant cognitive and memory difficulties. She also suffers from absent seizures. Mary can communicate relatively fluently, but needs support in some social and complex situations. Mary requires support with her daily routine, but in many areas, is quite independent including her own personal care.

Our client is looking for someone who can join the team as a bank member of staff so Mary always has support and can continue to make progress. Your shift patterns will vary and cover emergency cover as well as known leave.

This role could suit someone who lives locally and wants to keep ‘their hand in’ with this type of work, maybe someone semi-retired, or perhaps someone new to this type of work who is willing and wanting to learn.

Mary has made great progress with her rehabilitation and your role as a bank worker, although not full-time, is still a very important one. Your work will support the cohesion of the team and enable that progress to continue.  Great support from the case manager and team leader.

*Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for a female worker to work with our client.
