Title: Part Time SEN Support Worker
Location: Staines, TW18
Nearest Train / Tube Station: Staines
Wage / Salary: £14.00 gross per hour
Driver required? Preferable
Use of a car? On duty
Essential: Good SEN experience, confident playing and interacting with a child and must be a non-smoker
Desired: Good understanding of acquired brain injury
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Monday to Friday 3.00 pm to 6.30 pm. There is the opportunity for longer days during the holidays; to be discussed with the family


Alfie is 7 and loves sports, Disney movies and is constantly on the go! He lives in Staines with his mum, dad, and two older sisters. In 2016 Alfie was involved in a road traffic collision where he sustained severe head and facial injuries and a brain Injury.

Alfie is looking for a fun, imaginative and active support worker to assist him as he accesses his school programs, rehabilitation and home life. Alfie has made fantastic progress throughout the last year and continues to receive lots of therapy input from statutory services and private therapists in the home setting. Your role as his support worker will be to support Alfie directly as well as providing support mum and dad to manage Alfie’s busy appointments schedule and home life.

This job will suit a lively, fun and confident support worker who can engage Alfie with creative play, football in the garden and his therapy routines. Alfie requires support and supervision with personal care tasks and an understanding and empathetic approach to teaching and giving direction is vital. Alfie is very mobile but does struggle with his co-ordination and sight loss so his new support worker will be safety conscious and committed to helping Alfie’s development and rehabilitation.
