Title: Full Time *Female SEN Team Leader
Location: St Katharine Docks, E1W

Wage / Salary: £30,000 to £33,000 gross per annum dependent on shifts worked. (Based on an average of 35 hours a week) Gross hourly pay rates are: £16.00 weekdays, £18.00 weekends, £12.50 Week nights, £13.50 weekend nights and £30.00 bank holidays
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? On duty, adapted vehicle (lessons will be given)
Essential: Confident managing a care team in a team leader / managerial role, Cerebral Palsy, Manual handling, must be a non-smoker, confident swimmer
Desirable: Previous PEG feeding experience
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 1 year contract, renewable
Days & Hours: Mainly day shifts, however you will be expected to do some nights. Shifts include a mix of days (outside of school hours), on-call nights, weekday and weekends, based on a 2-week rota.
Accommodation: For night shifts: Good sized room provided with bed and sink
Eesa is a charming 8-year-old boy who enjoys being around people and loves being the centre of attention. Eesa has quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and developmental delay. Eesa communicates using non-verbal techniques, he is able to say some basic words but he mainly communicates through PECS and facial expressions – he has fantastic cognitive understanding.
The family are looking for an experienced team Leader who is confident managing a small team of people. The care package is fast paced and offers good learning opportunities for new staff. You will be required to complete rotas, check stock levels and order medication; and place orders for equipment and infection control supplies. You will be supervised by a case manager, however, the responsibility of running the in-house care package and associated management of hospital appointments, therapy appointments and clinical stock checks is ultimately the responsibility of the Team Leader.
This job will suit someone who can be assertive and who has the ability to deal with any issues, problems or concerns that may evolve within the team. The family are looking for someone proactive, friendly and nurturing. Clear spoken and written English is essential to fully support Eesa in his future development.
