Our lovely client Millie is 12 years old, she is very creative, extremely artistic and a talented drawer. She loves watching YouTubers, listening to pop music and enjoys playing with her Barbie’s. Millie attends a fantastic specialist school in Central London, she has dyslexia and has recently been diagnosed on the Autistic Spectrum. Mum and Dad are still learning about Millie’s diagnosis and need support and guidance to establish the most effective ways to support Millie, therefore previous experience with children with autism and dyslexia is essential for this wonderful position.
To best support Millie, establishing a good routine is essential and will need to be put in place by the SEN Nanny. Millie requires support with her emotional self-regulation, homework and also her bedtime routine as these are three areas she finds challenging. In this role, you’ll collect Millie from school in Pimlico, and then travel home to support with the after-school routine, extra-curricular activities, hobbies and having fun. The school day can be overwhelming and overstimulating for Millie, so she will require downtime once she’s home.
Millie can find change or transition very difficult, therefore we are looking for a long term commitment from the SEN Nanny. Typical nanny and nursery duties will be included in this role.
This is a very rewarding role and you’ll have the opportunity to work with a fabulous young lady and wonderful family. If you wish to be considered please apply today and Jade from Snap will be in touch to discuss the next steps.
*Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for a female worker to work with our client.
Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
