About this client/child:
Our client Benjamin is 9 years old, he lives at home with his Mummy and three brothers. Benjamin will be relocating to Croydon area towards the end of year / early next week. He is a smiley, happy and engaging young chap and loves to be included in all activities. Benjamin has Total Body Dystonia which affects all areas of his development, he is reliant on others to meet all of his needs and has 2:1 support, 24/7. Benjamin is a wheelchair user and uses hoists for all transfers.

Overview of role:
As Senior Support Worker you will have the opportunity to balance senior role duties and providing hands-on support to Benjamin. When supporting Benjamin alongside a team member, you will assist with all aspects of his care plan, personal care needs, manual handling, school runs, therapy and medical needs, and supporting Benjamin to engage in activities and explore new hobbies and interests.
5 hours are set aside each week to enable you to complete senior support worker tasks such as updating the care plans, assisting with rota planning, managing stocks, organising medical and therapy appointments in conjunction with his Mummy.
Shift pattern: Weekdays: 2.30pm to 9.00pm, Weekends: 8:00am to 8:00pm, Waking and Sleeping Nights: 8:00pm to 08:00am. Rota is provided 4 weeks in advance. Rates of pay: £17.00 weekdays/waking nights | £18.00 weekends/waking nights | Gross per Hour 

Who this job would suit:
A reliable, confident and robust Senior Support Worker. You must be a confident driver, capable of driving a manual adapted vehicle. Excellent communicator and computer literate.
