Tom, aged 8, requires a new person to join his small home care team. He is a loving, sweet and cheeky chap who has cerebral palsy and additional medical needs. We are looking to recruit a calm, engaging and experienced support worker. The team work closely with the parents who are instrumental in their son’s care.

The role involves assisting Tom to learn through play. He likes music and movement, switches, Eye Gaze, sensory play and stories.  He also enjoys time outside, on his swing, slide and trike.  As this is the school holidays, fun, adventure and excitement are top of the list! Due to Tom’s complex needs, he requires help with tube feeding, implementing a physiotherapy programme and personal care.  Experience of these would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

This position will suit a confident, reliable and caring support worker who has the availability to work during school holidays, weekends and is happy to accompany Tom and his family on holidays in the UK or abroad. Additional hours are available, to be discussed during interview.

As mentioned, client specific training will be provided for all aspects of Tom's care including mandatory health and safety. If you wish to be considered for this role supporting a delightful boy, please apply today with your updated CV.

Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
