Support Worker
Location: Oxted, Surrey, RH8
Wage: £18.00 Gross per Hour
Driver Essential? Yes

Days & Hours: 3 afternoons per week (any weekday afternoon) 2.30pm - 6.30pm. Additional hours are available if desired. 
Family/Client Pets: Yes, a small family dog

About this client/child:
Ryan is 15 years old, he is an active young man who enjoys a range of activities from swimming to trampolining and loves sensory activities, such as water and sand play. Ryan has Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), a learning disability, epilepsy, and can present with behaviour that may challenge. Ryan also has multiple allergies for which he carries an EpiPen. He is a great communicator, however, if he is feeling unwell or is tired, he can find it difficult to speak or vocalise his needs.

Overview of the Role: 
The Support Worker will assist Ryan after school which starts with the school pick up and either attending an afterschool activity or if Ryan is tired, returning home for down/relax time or arranging an activity he will enjoy.  As a Support Worker, you will be involved in all aspects of behaviour management, assist with personal care, and administer medication. Ryan can at times require space if he is feeling anxious, therefore it is essential the Support Worker understands when to take a step back.

A calm, creative, confident and energetic, and fun Support Worker who enjoys working in a family setting and being out in the community. For this role, you must be a confident driver (use of an automatic car on duty), a non-smoker/vaper, and a confident swimmer.
