£50,500.00 + Gross per Annum. Experienced RGN required for Nursing Team Lead position managing a care package providing 24hour support to a lady with complex care and medical needs. Permanent contract

Location: Beckenham BR3 however client is relocating to Keston, Kent in the near future
Nearest Tube/Station: Beckenham and Keston
Wage: £27.00 Weekdays  | £29.00 Weekends | Gross per Hour | £50,544.00 + Gross per Annum
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? Yes, on duty. WAV Vehicle, automatic drive  
Essential: RGN, managerial or team lead experience, specialist ABI knowledge
Desirable: Experience working within a family / home environment
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 12 hour shifts, three per week. 36 hours in total, additional hours available

About this client:
Julie is a 49 year old loving wife and mother to her son who is 7 years old. Julie lives at home in Beckenham with her husband and son and she is supported round the clock by a team of support workers/pa. Julie sustained a catastrophic brain injury during her pregnancy when she developed meningitis; this has resulted in life changing injuries, complex physical and cognitive disabilities with associated nursing needs. Julie is a wheelchair user and is dependent on others to meet all her care and medical needs. Julie is surrounded by a very supportive family, particularly her sister who visits regularly, her husband works full-time in the city and her son will have a full-time Nanny to manage all childcare needs.

Overview of role:
Julie requires an experienced RGN with ABI knowledge to lead, support, supervise and manage her care team, liaise with all MDT professionals and case manager. The RGN will be responsible for creating rotas, supervisions, appraisals, training, updating care plans, arranging therapy and medical appointments, manage stock and ensure Julie’s needs are being met to a high standard and, continually promote her independence and ensure the smooth running of a 24 hour care team. This is a full-time position; you’ll provide hands on support to Julie, and complete both admin and team leader duties during your working hours.

Who this job would suit:
An experienced RGN who has previously lead a team of nurses, HCA’s or support workers.  Knowledge of and experience supporting a client with an ABI is essential and it is highly desirable to have worked within a family environment previously.
