Wage: Up to £15.00 gross per hour
Essential: Supporting children with Acquired brain injury, behaviour that may challenge
Start Date: ASAP
Hours and Days: Monday, Tuesday 3.30pm to 5.30pm and Thursday 3.15pm to 5.15pm, more hours available during school holidays
We are seeking an experienced support worker for Jake who is 14. He enjoys gaming on his Xbox, Go Ape and he loves spending time with his new therapy dog. As a result of meningitis Jake has acquired brain injury and has been diagnosed with Asperger syndrome. He has poor gross and fine motor skills and his communication is limited. Jake suffers from Asthma and Eczema.
This is a part-time support worker role which offers great opportunity to really make a difference in Jake’s life, enhance his social skills and encourage his independence.
We are keen to hear from energetic and proactive support workers who have experience working with clients with acquired brain injury and behaviour that may challenge.
