Tom is a vibrant and happy 6 ½ year old boy, with a fantastic sense of humour. He has tons of energy and thrives on activities such as horse riding and swimming. He has a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD. He experiences high levels of anxiety, sensory and behavioural difficulties which requires a fair, consistent and kind approach. He is cognitively bright and communicates well.

The family are looking for someone to become part of the family and work as a team alongside them. The SEN Nanny will be able to follow and support the therapies and interventions determined by the family and professionals. The right candidate will "muck in" with family life, running errands etc. A genuine interest in working with autistic children is a must. During term time and school hours there are usual nanny duties (e.g. laundry, cooking, returning library books, keeping play room organised etc.)

You must be loving, patient and pro-active, with excellent experience with this age group on the autistic spectrum. Tom is very energetic so the family are looking for someone who can keep up and able to organise activities to keep him busy. The family’s current nanny will be available to give a handover before she leaves and this job comes highly recommended by her!

You will have an amazing opportunity to support Tom through his daily challenges, ensuring his emotional, social and physical needs are met. To apply for this position please send your CV to Rachael at Snap.
