Shaun is an active, sociable teenager who enjoys going out and about, bike riding and attending the local gym. Shaun is 15 and has an acquired brain injury.

Shaun is looking to find a new support / worker buddy to support him in these activities, to provider direct care, guidance and supervision. As part of an individual programme plan, you’ll work alongside Shaun, his family and therapy team to support his rehabilitation goals and independent living skills. The activities you’ll accompany Shaun to, will all present opportunities to build his skills, experience and confidence.

Shaun need someone who is fun, fit and active; you’ll need to be happy to participate in a gym programme. It’s important that Shaun’s support worker blends in when out in the community so it’s not obvious he is with a carer.

This is a wonderful opportunity to support a great young man and help him access activities and lead the life he wants to. You’ll have the support of a case manager and training opportunities are available. We do need a male for this role, so if you are female and reading this - please do let any male friends know about the job if you think they would be interested, thank you!

If you’d like to support Shaun, send your CV and ideally a brief supporting statement.
