Days & Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 06.30am to 09.30am, Thursday 3.00pm to 7.00pm. Additional hours are available and we are happy to consider suitable support workers taking on 1 or 2 shifts per week

About this client/child:
Jessie is 9 years old, she is a bright, engaging and energetic young lady with a passion for horse riding, and impressively has even competed nationally for the riding for the disabled. Her other interests and hobbies include gymnastics, swimming (hydrotherapy), reading and listening to music. Jessie has cerebral palsy, she is very capable, however she is unsteady on her feet and requires close supervision to ensure her safety is maintained.
Overview of role:
Jessie has lots of potential, and as mentioned above she is incredibly capable in her striving for independence. We require a support worker who can really promote Jessie’s independence and support with her self-help skills. Your main role will be to assist Jessie during her morning routine and provide afterschool support in enabling Jessie to access activities. Alongside this you’ll work towards her therapy goals and encourage her to work hard in meeting her targets.
Who this job would suit:
A female* support worker who has childcare experience, an excellent communicator who ideally has previous experience working within a family setting. Jessie has a young sister so it’s important for the support worker to pitch in and help as and when needed to keep family life running smoothly.
