Oscar 5, has oodles of energy and loves imaginative and creative play – especially Lego and Playmobil. Oscar has dyskinetic cerebral palsy, gastro-oesophageal reflux, recurrent respiratory illness, ketotic hypoglycaemia and a tendency to hypothermia. He receives all his liquids and medication via his gastrostomy tube.
The role will involve providing 1:1 care and support for Oscar within his family home, implementing therapies, school pick ups, play dates and most importantly having fun – these are just few of the duties. Oscar can become poorly quickly so we need a candidate who is confident in monitoring, recording and following procedures.
If you are energetic and love to play then this is the role for you. Oscar is a charming young boy with lots of potential and he will be a real joy to work with. We are keen to find a candidate with a real passion for maximizing this little boy’s potential. Training opportunities available.
