Katie, 19, is a bundle of energy, bubbly and a social butterfly. Always on the go, Katie loves getting out and about, she will definitely keep you on your toes! Katie has an acquired brain injury, learning difficulties and diabetes insipidus. Her power chair helps her to get around, although she does require assistance with all aspect of her daily routine. Katie is at the centre of a loving family; Mum, Dad, younger sister and brother – this is a fast paced, busy household, so it really is all hands on deck.

The role is carried and you will assist with each daily task which will include Katie’s personal care, promoting independence, following her care plan, planning activities, implementing therapies and monitoring nutrition and fluid intake – the fluid intake is extremely important due to her diabetes insipidus, more information available at the Snap interview stage. Katie enjoys music, drama and people who aren’t afraid to be a bit silly and make her laugh! You need to have a good sense of humour to keep up with Katie and if you can sing and dance (good or not so good) Katie will be very impressed.
