We are seeking a Part time SEN Nanny to become a part of a small, dedicated team for Freddie, 7. Freddie is a charming boy who enjoys sensory activities, being read to, swimming and music. Freddie has an acquired brain injury and requires support with all his needs.  He has epilepsy and all his food and medication are administered via a PEG tube. Freddie's house is fully adapted to meet his needs and he has a range of therapies, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and hydrotherapy.  Freddie is at the heart of a loving family; Mum, Dad, two big brothers, a new little brother and a friendly dog… this is a busy, active, but fun family home!

The role will involve providing 1:1 care and support for Freddie within his family home and at school, implementing therapies, school pick-ups, taking Freddie to therapy activities and most importantly having fun. The position is just for one full day on a Tuesday, but there will be the opportunity for additional hours during school holidays and to cover staff holidays / sickness. There are also an additional 4 hours a week for admin tasks. These could include managing hospital appointments, medication orders or equipment updates and can be carried out at the family or at your own home as appropriate.

This position will suit a lively, hands on, energetic candidate who has plenty of common sense and the ability to be calm, confident and adaptable to the different aspects of this role. The family are fully supportive and will provide training and clear protocols for his care. Freddie is a lovely chap who will be an absolute pleasure to work with.
