Alex is an engaging and friendly 9-year-old with good sense of humour. He loves getting out and about, trains and planes, swimming, writing and drawing.  His younger sister Sophia (7) is an active and happy little girl. Alex has Weidemann Steiner Syndrome, which manifests as ADHD / ASD characteristics (attention difficulties, sensory issues, anxiety).

We require a confident, proactive and sensitive SEN Nanny who can engage and establish a good relationship with both children. Your role will be to supervise the morning and after-school routine and organise fun activities and games whilst keeping discipline and maintaining good manners. You will be required to help with light household duties, meal preparation and walking the puppy whilst the children are at school. For Alex, the first few weeks will be crucial when you to build trust, set boundaries, establish authority and routine; a calm and patient approach is essential. Alex thrives on positive reinforcement so this is really important. It’s necessary to motivate and encourage during tasks and assess when he needs some time out.

You will need a good understanding and experience with children with similar needs, strong common sense and positive approach. This exciting position will suit an active, energetic and fun SEN Nanny with a can do attitude who will build a trusting and engaging relationship with both children.

Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
