Alice is a lovely and charming 11-year-old.  She loves swimming, music and sensory activities. Alice is autistic and has severe learning difficulties; she has very limited safety awareness and needs assistance with all daily tasks. Alice can walk short distances but needs to be supported up and down the stairs. While you’ll also look after her 3 younger siblings aged between 7-9 they are very independent.

We are seeking a confident, proactive and sensitive SEN Nanny who can support Alice and promote her independence and encourage self-confidence. Your role will be to supervise the morning and after-school routine, organise different activities and make sure all the children are well cared for. At times mum will work from home, so you’ll need to be comfortable either having sole charge or working alongside mum.

You will need a good understanding and extensive experience with children with similar needs, strong common sense and a positive approach.

This exciting position will suit an active, energetic and patient SEN Nanny with a can-do attitude who will build a trusting and engaging relationship with Alice and her siblings and help her to achieve her full potential.

Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
