Title: Part Time *Female Waking Night Carer| Farnham, GU10

Wage: £14.00 to £17.00 gross per hour depending on experience
Driver required? Preferable
Use of a car? On duty 
Essential: Genuine interest in supporting a child with complex medical needs, tracheostomy care, JEJ, PEG, suctioning, manual handling. Experience working waking nights.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 2 waking nights per week (24 hours per week) , Week 1 Wednesday and Thursday 7.30am - 7.30pm, Week 2 Monday and Thursday 7.30am - 7.30pm 

About this client/child:
Sofia (11) is a lovely young lady who likes sensory play, listening to stories and music and baking. Sofia has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, tracheostomy, is visually impaired, is non-verbal and has significant complex medical needs. Sofia’s feeding and medication is administered through JEJ and PEG, she requires suctioning and has 2:1 care, 24/7. 

Overview of role:
We are looking for an experienced waking night carer who enjoys working within a family home and will be a good team player. Your role will be to support Sofia with all her needs throughout  the night. You’ll monitor her health, administer feeds and medication, provide personal care and ensure she is comfortable at all times. You will be working alongside second carer.

Who this job would suit:
This role will suit a kind, calm and experienced support worker who has previous experience working in a home environment and supporting children or young adults with complex medical needs. Non smoker is essential. You will be required to wear PPE at all times and this will be provided, training to use a respirator will be given prior to a trial shift.
