Up to £18.00 gross per hour.  Proactive, caring and confident *Female support worker required for Mike (8) who has complex medical needs.

Start Date:ASAP 
Days & Hours:Flexible hours and days for the right candidates, shifts available on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 9.00am to 5.00pm, and some afternoons during the week. Up to 26 hours per week

Mike 8, is a charming young man who enjoys cuddles, sensory games, stories and music. Mike has a rare disorder, known as De Noro Mutation in Garbrb3 and he has significant complex needs requiring 24/7 care; he is dependent on others for all his needs. Mike has epilepsy, and throughout the day and night he can have multiple seizures and absences. He is non-verbal but can express his likes and dislikes. Mike requires oral suctioning, repositioning and all nutrition, liquids and medication are administered via PEG. 

Your role will involve supporting Mike with all his needs including personal care, feeding, medicating, monitoring, implementing therapies such as chest physio, repositioning, lifting and hoisting. The whole house has been fully adapted for Mike’s needs and it is a very pleasant working environment. 

You will be caring, loving, and confident and sensitive to the privacy needs of the family. You’ll need to be confident supporting a child with complex medical needs and working alongside mum and dad. This is truly a fantastic opportunity to work with this lovely family and focus on enabling Mike to reach his full potential.
