Amber aged 8 is an extremely happy girl who is into everything pink! She enjoys socalising, going for walks with the dog and has a huge passion for music, especially her favourite band Little Mix. You will often hear Amber requesting their songs from her Amazon ‘Alexa’. Her 7 year old brother Jake loves keeping active and especially enjoys football and tennis. A new addition to the family will be arriving in September 2019, both Amber and Jake are very excited.

Amber was born at 25 weeks so spent a lot of her early life in hospital. It wasn’t until her one year old checkup the family were made aware that she had quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Only a very small part of Amber’s brain was damaged but it is the part that controls her movement. Due to this, Amber needs full support with all of her physical care needs but otherwise she is a very active, healthy and chatty little girl.

Term-time, the SEN Nanny will support both Amber and Jake before and after school. This will include taking and collecting from school, various after-school activities, helping with homework, dinner and general fun to be had at home. The house is fully adapted for all of Amber’s needs, including a lift and ceiling hoists. During the school holidays there’s much more time for the SEN Nanny to arrange exciting trips out and about and there may also be the opportunity to travel with the family on holiday.

This SEN Nanny job will suit someone who is bubbly, pro-active, physically fit and happy to get involved in activities. The family are very fun, outdoorsy and have a great sense of humour to match. An interest in music and drama would be a bonus! This is an excellent opportunity for an SEN Nanny to join a fun family household who provide a bright, cheerful and very welcoming environment.
