Essential: Experience supporting a younger client with additional needs, non-smoker / non-vaper, confident supporting a client during hydrotherapy and swimming
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 3 afternoon per week 3.30pm – 7.30pm or 4.00pm – 8.00pm and alternate Saturdays or Sundays: 6 hours per day

About this client/child:
Our client Simon is 12 years old, he enjoys the outdoors, sensory activities, swimming, listening to stories and music, trips out and about and spending time with his family. Simon has cerebral palsy, a hearing and visual impairment, sensory needs, learning disability and is a wheelchair user, he is reliant on others to meet all his care needs. Although Simon has complex care and medical needs, he lives life to the full and loves to explore the great outdoors and is a real busy bee.
Overview of role:
As Simon’s Support Worker / Carer you will assist with all daily activities and tasks in line with his care plan both at home and out in the community, this will include meeting his care, support and rehabilitation needs. You will liaise with his family, care team, MDT and Case Manager. This role is all about promoting Simon’s independence and providing support so that he reaches his full potential.
Who this job would suit:
A positive, kind, friendly and outgoing experienced Support Worker / Carer. Previous experience working within a family environment is desirable and a confident driver and swimmer, non-smoker/non-vaper are essential. This is a busy family home; Simon has younger siblings who love to play and are very active so you must be willing to be part of a lively family and pitch in as an when needed.
