Grace aged 17 has a tremendous sense of fun and is very engaging. She loves being around her animals, being outside and spending time with her close group of friends. Grace has an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), which has mainly affected her speech cognition and mobility and she has been receiving care in a London hospital for the last 15 months. She is due to be discharged at the beginning of May and will be returning to her family home in Leicester, where her family are keen to have a full care team in place to enable a smooth transition.

You will be joining a small care team where you will be taking direction from the Team Leader to ensure that Grace receives all the care she needs. Grace will require full assistance with her daily routines and all of her personal care needs. The role will include a mixture of PEG /oral feeding, medication administration, supporting her mobility via hoisting and assisting with all of her therapies. During the evenings the night care will take place in the main house.

This job will suit someone who is calm but very proactive and able to bring lots of enthusiasm to the role, ideally a swimmer as Grace enjoys swimming and this is a great physio activity.  You should also enjoy the quiet life as the area is very rural.

This is wonderful opportunity to join a supportive family and care team where you can make a real difference to Grace’s life by maximising her opportunities and promoting her independence wherever possible. You will be provided with gorgeous accommodation in a beautiful location. To apply for this position please send your CV to Rachael at Snap.
