£12.00 gross per hour. Fantastic Summer role available for a cheerful and enthusiastic SEN Nanny to assist with Hannah and Liv in Wales.

 

 

 

 

Title: Temporary Summer *Female Nanny
Location: Wales
Nearest Train Station: Bangor
Wage: £12.00 gross per hour
Driver required? Not Required
Essential: Personality is key, must be reasonably fit and strong and recent DBS.
Desirable: Some exposure to epilepsy would be helpful
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 1st September 2019
Days & Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 7.00pm, plus additional hours over the weekend to be agreed with nanny.
Family Pets: 1 small dog, 4 gerbils
Accommodation: Generous sized double bedroom with en-suite, walk in wardrobe and views of Snowdonia. Wifi available.

Hannah is an affectionate and friendly 15-year-old. She enjoys watching TV, being read to, pottering around the garden, being pushed in her buggy and people watching. She has a 12-year-old sister called Liv who is lots of fun to be around and doesn’t miss a trick! Hannah has a genetic condition which presents with developmental delay, learning disabilities and severe epilepsy. She is on a restricted ketogenic diet due to one of her medical conditions; she has a PEG fitted but also takes food orally.

Hannah is non-verbal but can make her likes and dislikes easily known. She does have a couple of signs and the family use PECS to support her communication. Although Hannah is mobile she needs to have someone near her at all times as she is prone to tripping. She has a short attention span and to be kept occupied needs to be given different activities that last not much more than half an hour.

This family well known to Snap are looking for a SEN Nanny to join them at their holiday home in Wales. Your role will be support Hannah on a daily basis with her personal care and provide stimulating and engaging environment. This role will suit someone who enjoys keeping active, is physically fit and someone with a cheerful manner as well as being willing to muck in as one of the family.
