About this client/child:

Lucy is 10 years old, she is a bubbly, social, and fun-loving young lady who enjoys a range of activities such as arts and crafts, playing on her scooter at the park, and exploring the great outdoors. Lucy has a Learning Disability, a hearing impairment, epilepsy and uses Makaton to support her verbal communication. Lucy requires support and assistance with all her daily living to enable her to become more independent. 

Overview of role:

As Lucy’s Support Worker you will assist with all aspects of her care plan and therapy programme. Lucy has lots of therapy input from her OT, SLT, Physio, and Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to work alongside her treating therapist and implement her programmes. The role of the Support Worker is to facilitate, encourage and enable Lucy to build on her developmental and independence skills. Lucy requires support before and after school, potentially at weekends longer days during the school holidays.  If you only have availability either in the mornings, or afternoons or weekends do please still apply.
