SEN Support Worker in Nottingham, NG12. A fantastic full-time opportunity for a professional SEN Support Worker to assist an engaging, fun loving and active 21-year-old lady with complex care and medical needs. Salary starting at £30,940.00 + Gross per Annum

Days & Hours: 35 hours per week. Shift pattern: 7.00am to 7.00pm or 8.00pm, 7.00am to 4.00pm, 4.00pm to 8.00pm, and 8.00pm to 7.00am.

About this client: Where to begin... Anna (21) is an exceptional young woman with a love for life, laughter, fun, and has a great sense of humour. Anna has many interests including listening to music, going to wheelchair dance classes, the theatre, and spending time at her holiday home in Norfolk and boating! Anna is dependent on others to meet all her care needs; she has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, dystonia, J-PEG (for all nutrition, fluid and medication), a stoma, and requires Non-Invasive Ventilation throughout the night, and is a wheelchair user. Anna uses Eye Gaze to play games and finds ‘Yes/No’ communication the easiest to support her non-verbal communication. Despite her complex medical needs, Anna thrives with the support of her parents and team, enabling her to reach her full potential and embrace each day and every opportunity.

Overview of role: Anna leads a busy life, and her schedule is always jam-packed with things to do; currently she attends college, however, she will graduate this Summer, meaning there will be more time to explore new meaningful activities or different facilities Anna will enjoy. During each day, Anna is supported by two team members, and you will assist with all her ADLs, personal care, moving and handling, administering medication, therapy programme and facilitating her to access the world around her. Anna requires a waking night carer to assist her with night-time routine, continuously monitor her and tend to her as and when required. This position is full-time with a mixture of days, waking nights and some weekends. The rota is provided a minimum of 4 weeks in advance, ensuring the team have time to plan and supports a great work/life balance.
