Sofia 6, is an engaging, fun-loving little girl who is looking for a pro-active, fun and passionate Female* support worker to join her small, dedicated care team. Sofia has cerebral palsy, complex care needs, is a wheelchair user and requires support to meet all her care needs. She enjoys eating delicious blended food and has a PEG for her medications (and food if she is feeling too tired to eat).
This role will involve assisting Sofia with all aspect of her morning and daily routine, following her care plan and assisting with personal care, enabling Sofia to access fun, educational social activities and implementing therapies under the guidance of her therapists.
As Sofia’s support worker you’ll ensure her independence is continually promoted and that she is facilitated to reach her full potential. Experience supporting a child with similar needs such as cerebral palsy and Peg feeding is desirable however training is provided.
This job will suit a confident, happy and friendly support worker who have the ability to work on their own initiative but also comfortable working alongside team members as Sofia does require 2:1 support at times during the day.
