Wage: Up to £13.00 Gross per Hour
Driver Essential? Yes
Essential: Experience supporting a client with a brain injury and using a track and ceiling hoist.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 20 hours contracted per week: shifts: 9.00am - 2.00pm | 5.00pm - 10.00pm. On-call Hours: 2.00pm – 5.00pm.
Family/Client Pets: Potentially getting a dog in the near future.

About this client/child:
Our client Lisa is a bubbly, energetic and lively 26-year-old who loves music, movies and going to the cinema and restaurants. Lisa has an active life and lives independently with the support from her team of Personal Assistants (PAs). Lisa has an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and as a result, is a wheelchair user. She takes an active role in her care, working in collaboration with her team; her PAs work alongside her to facilitate, empower and enable her to live life as she wishes.

Overview of role:
Your role as Personal Assistant will involve providing companionship and supporting Lisa with personal care, domestic and household tasks, shopping, attending appointments, events, activities, cooking and enhancing her independence at home and in the community.

There is 20 contracted hours per week. Rate of pay: Monday to Friday, £11.00, Saturday, £12.00, and Sunday £13.00. You will be paid £10.00 per 3 hours on-call and if Lisa calls you to assist her, you will receive the hourly rate in addition. Overtime is paid at time and a half. All rates quoted in gross.

Who this job would suit:
Previous experience supporting a client with an Acquired Brain Injury to live independently is essential. Lisa would like her Female* Personal Assistant to have good cooking skills as she is very excited to learn how to prepare and cook meals; this is a goal she has set herself. You must be a confident driver (automatic, adapted vehicle), have excellent communication and time-keeping skills, be reliable and self-motivated.
