Location: Islington, N7
Nearest Train: Caledonian road
Wage: Up to £32,760.00 gross per annum based on 45 hours weekly, starting at £14.00 gross per hour
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? Yes, on duty
Essential experience: Genuine interest in supporting clients with additional needs
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 45 hours per week based on a 4 week rota, alternate Saturday or Sunday required

About this client/child:
James is a bright young adult with a huge passion for life. He enjoys being out and about, travelling, making music, visiting art galleries, museums, wildlife, nature and eating out. James has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and is dependent on others for all his needs. James is using both low tech and computer- based communication aids to communicate.

Overview of role:
James is looking for a *Male Buddy/ Support worker to join his small dedicated team. This position is about supporting James to live a fulfilling life, and enable him to pursue his interests. The role will involve assistance with all aspects of the daily routine; providing personal care, supporting James in the community, researching suitable activities, places to visit and having lots of fun!

This job will suit a motivated, proactive candidate with plenty of common sense and ‘can do’ attitude, someone who has a genuine interest in supporting a young man with a disability and understands the importance of promoting his independence.

You will be supported by James’s family and dedicated team; you must be a team player and be comfortable working alongside others as well as sole charge. You’ll also need to be flexible; there will be lots of opportunity to travel. A fantastic opportunity to work with a charming young man to enable him to live his life to its fullest.
