Wage: £41,729.00 gross per annum. (£15.00 gross weekdays, £16.00 gross weekends, £55.00 gross per sleeping night)

Essential:Supporting a young person with additional needs, working in a family home environment
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Week 1 4 days and 3 nights Week 2 3 days + weekend and 4 nights Term Time:6:15am to 8:30am, then 4.30pm to 8.30pm and overnight sleeping shift. Weekends 9.30am-8.30pm School holidays: 9.00am – 9.00pm
Pets: 2 cats
Accommodation:Daily position, but double room with monitor when on duty or the client’s room if they are unwell
About this client/child:
Lea, 13, is a delightful and sweet young lady who enjoys long walks in the park, swimming, doing art projects and listening to stories. She is a very happy, fun and active girl who needs to be stimulated. Lea is a wheelchair user, has spastic has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, dystonia, epilepsy and a visual impairment. She is non-verbal but can express her likes and dislikes clearly. Lea is at the centre of a loving family; Mum and her a twin sister Maria. Maria is very independent, but needs to be included and loves spending time with her sister. You will occassionally be in charge of Maria too.
Overview of role:
We require a fun loving, patient, flexible and caring *Female Support Worker/Buddy who can assist Lea with her daily tasks, including personal care, promoting independence, planning stimulating activities, play and implement therapies. You must be confident with manual handling and keep the highest hygiene standards. The family has a housekeeper and a daily cleaner, but you will be responsible for keeping Lea’s room, equipment and clothes in good order. Lea’s care is shared between 2 support workers to ensure she has support 24/7.
