About this client/child:
Lucille, 16, lives in the centre of Milan with her mum dad and two brothers. Before lockdown, Lucille attended school daily and loved being active: swimming, trampolining, snowboarding, surfing, going on her adapted bike, and travels to America. Lucille is at the heart of her family so she will either be in her brother’s room or with mum and dad, and her dog is never ever too far away! Lucille has an undiagnosed condition, affecting her mobility and speech. Lucille’s nonverbal communication is very impressive and her dexterity around her iPad is quick and precise. Lucille predominately uses a walking frame and walk very well but with constant support from behind.
Overview of role:
Lucille is currently homeschooled, and therapies accessed online. You’ll get Lucille up and ready for the day, breakfast, and then schoolwork for about an hour - which you may need to creatively encourage her to do! Lucille will then do other activities, such as listening to music, dancing, & iPad before lunch. At 3 pm Lucille goes online with her tutor, and then has free choice; playing with her dog, spending time with her brother, music videos, fun yoga, audiobooks, or going to her local park on her bike. Lucille will get into her PJs, have dinner, and then chill until bedtime. You’ll be Lucille’s primary day time support, but there are 2 lovely members of her team, ‘Team Lucille’.
Who this job would suit:
Someone comfortable working with the family around. You’ll be organized, self-motivated, confident, with an eye for detail, and a great communicator. You’ll need plenty of energy, be emotionally robust and independent.
What’s great about this job:
To be a part of ‘Team Cecille’ is of course at the top of the list! There is training given so a lovely opportunity to get to know Cecille’s schedule beforehand, and ongoing there is good solid support. The opportunity to live in one of Europe’s most vibrant, cultured cities; Milan is slowly finding itself again and when it does, what a city to have on your doorstep. There is such a lot more information for me to share. Please get in touch to find out more.
Client/Family met by Snap?
I had the pleasure of meeting Lucille and her family via a video call. I was also fortunate enough to ‘meet’ one of Lucille’s very skilled, caring, and loyal team member, placed by Snap, who spoke about being a part of ‘team Lucille’.
